1. Install TronLink extension from Chrome Web Store
2. Click the TronLink icon → Get Started
3. Choose Create Wallet or Import Wallet
4. Set a strong password (encrypts local storage — not your seed phrase recovery)
5. Write down the 12-word seed phrase in order
6. Confirm seed phrase by selecting words in correct sequence
7. Your TRON address appears (starts with T, 34 characters)

1. Download TronLink Pro from your app store
2. Open app → Create Wallet
3. Set app password and optional biometric lock
4. Back up 12-word seed phrase on paper

Network configuration

TronLink defaults to TRON Mainnet. Verify in settings:

• Mainnet — real TRX and tokens (default)
• Shasta Testnet — for developers testing
• Nile Testnet — alternative testnet

Never send real TRX to testnet addresses or vice versa.

Back up your seed phrase

Your 12-word seed phrase is the master key to your wallet:

1. Write on paper — two copies in separate secure locations
2. Never screenshot, email, or cloud-store the phrase
3. Never share with anyone — TronLink support will never ask

Fund your wallet

New TRON addresses need activation:

1. Copy your TRON address from TronLink
2. Withdraw TRX from an exchange (select TRON/TRC20 network)
3. Send minimum 1–10 TRX for activation and initial fees
4. Wait ~3 seconds for confirmation
5. Balance appears in TronLink

Troubleshooting

Extension not connecting to dApp. Refresh page, unlock TronLink, ensure you're on Mainnet.

Balance not showing. Check TronScan for on-chain balance. Add custom token if it's TRC-20.

Transaction failed OUT_OF_ENERGY. Freeze TRX for Energy before token transfers.

Wrong network. Verify Mainnet in TronLink settings. Testnet TRX has no value.
